WHAT ACCREDITED ISO 9001 CERTIFICATION MEANS

To achieve product conformity, accredited certification processes are expected to provide confidence that the organization has a quality management system that meets the applicable requirements of ISO 9001. In particular, the organization is expected to:

  2. analyze and understand customer needs and expectations, as well as the applicable legal and regulatory requirements for its products
  3. ensure that product characteristics have been specified to meet the requirements of both the customer and the legal and regulatory requirements
  4. identify and manage process needs to achieve the expected results (product conformity and improved customer satisfaction)
  5. ensure the availability of necessary resources to support operations and monitor its processes
  6. follow and control the defined product characteristics
  7. aim to prevent non-conformities and have systematic improvement processes in place to:
    1. correct any non-conformities that occur (including post-delivery product non-conformities)
    2. analyze the causes of non-conformities and take corrective actions to prevent their recurrence
    3. handle customer complaints
  8. have effective internal audit and management review processes in place

THE BEST ALLY FOR COMPETITIVENESS

Quality is a strategic factor for accessing markets in all geographical and sectoral areas. ISO 9001 is the model against which hundreds of thousands of organizations worldwide reference their quality management systems.

Certification by an accredited entity with highly qualified technical personnel, such as AENOR, adds additional value to the increased competitiveness in organizations that the adoption of the ISO 9001 model already provides with its requirements.

THE CENTRAL AXIS OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT

Progressively, organizations, regardless of their activity, size, or geographical location, have to comply with a greater number of environmental requirements imposed by the Administration, customers, and society in general. Therefore, it is essential to use tools that integrate the environment into the overall management of the company.

The implementation of an Environmental Management System according to the UNE-EN ISO 14001 standard offers the possibility of systematizing, in a simple way, the environmental aspects generated in each of the activities carried out in the organization, as well as promoting environmental protection and pollution prevention from a balanced perspective with socio-economic aspects.
Thanks to the implementation of the Environmental Management System according to the international ISO 14001 standard, the organization positions itself as socially responsible, differentiating itself from the competition and positively reinforcing its image with customers and consumers.
Among other environmental advantages, it optimizes the management of resources and waste, reduces negative environmental impacts derived from its activity or those risks associated with accidental situations.

In terms of economic advantages, in addition to promoting innovation and productivity, the organization has the possibility of reducing waste management costs and insurance premiums, eliminating barriers to export, reducing the risk of litigation and sanctions, having greater access to subsidies and other preferential financing lines, or reducing occupational risks by motivating staff.

COMMITMENT TO THE ENVIRONMENT

The ISO 14001 standard allows the organization, in its activities it provides, products it develops and markets, to demonstrate its commitment to the environment, minimizing impacts and promoting better resource management. The recognitions issued by AENOR help to make environmental commitment also a factor of competitive differentiation.

MARCA PL obtains ISO 45001:2018 certification

MARCA PL obtains ISO 45001:2018 certification awarded by AENOR. This is a completely innovative safety standard, making us, along with the rest of the companies in the BUNZL group, the first company in the sector in Spain to have this certification.

ISO 45001, which replaces the previously obtained OHSAS 18001, is the highest occupational health and safety standard, demonstrating the company's undeniable commitment to the safety and health of its workers, the elimination of all existing risks, the promotion of health and healthy habits in the company's environment, as well as a greater awareness of the management team in terms of prevention. All of this under a commitment to continuous improvement.

Thus, MARCA PL is at the forefront with an Integrated Management System, having obtained ISO 45001:2018 in addition to the recently awarded ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

Following this achievement, BUNZL Spain has become the first company in the group worldwide to obtain this certification for all its companies in Spain.

The defibrillator is a device that analyzes the victim's heart rhythm and, depending on it, allows one or another operation to be carried out. It's as if we had a doctor by our side who is going to give us instructions on everything, he decides at all times, we just press a button when he tells us to.

A defibrillator is 100% safe since it never shocks someone who does not need it, even if we make a mistake and press the button accidentally.

Training for its use is necessary since the defibrillator alone does not save lives, it requires a person and their hands to perform quality CPR at those times.

Success is DEFIBRILLATOR + QUALITY CPR = Saving Lives

At MARCA PL we comply with quality standards to obtain the certificate that accredits us as a cardioprotected space. We have a semi-automatic defibrillator, an approved cabin with an acoustic system, personnel trained by 112 Citizen Training, in First Aid and basic life support techniques with the aim of saving lives and correctly performing CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation) maneuvers. basic) and the use of AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) as well as a cardioprotection plan.

The Carbon Footprint Calculator developed internally by Bunzl Spain has achieved certification from AENOR based on the GHG Protocol, the international reference protocol for calculating Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions.

This tool allows both MarcaPL and its customers to calculate their carbon footprint associated with distribution and meet their sustainability and emissions reduction goals. It does so by analyzing shipments, kilometers traveled, and their corresponding CO2 emissions, which will enable customers to have the necessary data to drive optimization and potential savings in their distribution operations. In other words, they will be able to improve shipment ratios and reduce them to be more sustainable.

The verified activities are divided into 3 scopes (following the GHG Protocol guidelines), which are:

Scope 1: Direct GHG emissions

  • Emissions from fuel consumption in rented vehicles
  • Fugitive emissions from refrigerants in refrigeration and air conditioning equipment
  • CO2 emissions from fire extinguishers

Scope 2: Indirect GHG emissions from energy

  • Electricity consumption

Scope 3: Other indirect GHG emissions

Includes the categories established in the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Accounting and Reporting Standard. GHG Protocol. World Resources Institute:

  • Emissions associated with the supply chain (purchase of products and services)
  • Emissions associated with the life cycle of fuels and energy consumed
  • Emissions associated with the transportation and distribution of goods by transport providers
  • Emissions associated with the management of generated waste
  • Emissions from employee commuting
  • Emissions from logistics movements through subcontracted transportation
